Agricultural Diversity

The Ganeshpuri area is blessed with rich soil, temperate climate and an abundance of water. Conveniently located close to a major city, Mumbai, its major agricultural product is rice. A three-acre parcel has been set aside for TMA to use as an agricultural test plot. Potential cash crops will be tested there and local farmers will be taught effective farming techniques. TMA is taking soil samples and discussing potential crops for the plot with experts in the field. TMA’s goal is for these cash crops to eventually be a new source of income and economic growth for Ganeshpuri.
